Loop

Privacy policy

Last updated 14 October 2026

Loop is made by Sam Menzel in Adelaide, South Australia. This explains what Loop collects, what the people in your loop can see, and what stays on your phone. Questions: getloop.support@gmail.com.

What stays on your phone

What we collect

Apple Health

Loop asks to read your steps, active minutes and sleep so it can show your progress on the goals you choose. This data is used only for that. It is not sold, not used for advertising, and not shared with anyone. Only the percentage of a goal leaves your phone, and only if you choose to share that goal.

Who can see what

People you connect with in Loop can see the check-ins and shared goals described above. No one else can. We don't show ads, and we don't sell or rent your information.

Where it's stored

Account and check-in information is stored with Google Firebase, in Google's Sydney (Australia) data centre, and processed by Google's cloud services on our behalf. Google (for storage and notifications) and Apple (for sign-in and purchases) handle this information only to provide those services, and protect it at least as well as this policy does.

How long we keep it

We keep your account, check-ins, connections and shared goals for as long as you have an account, so you and your loop can see your history. When you delete your account, we delete them from our database straight away. Any copies in our backups are removed when those backups expire.

Changing your mind

You don't have to delete your account to stop sharing. You can turn off Loop's access to Apple Health or Screen Time in the Settings app, keep any goal private, or leave a loop. Loop stops sending what it no longer has access to.

Deleting your data

Use Delete account in Settings, or email us from the address you signed up with. We'll delete your account, your check-ins and your connections. People you were connected to stop seeing you straight away. Data kept on your phone is removed when you delete the app.

Children

Loop isn't directed at children under 13. Parents who connect with an older child can see that child's check-ins, as described above. If you believe a child under 13 is using Loop, email us and we'll delete their account.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and tell you in the app.
